I think that DD is right. That was a discussion on GPS (Global Public Square) this morning. My substitute to church and my ritual every Sunday morning. Very intellignt military advisors weighed in, and nobody thinks it's wise to give Xi a release valve as he's having a very difficult year. Things are not going his way and his country's economy is no longer keeping pace with the US.
My own thoughts is that Nancy Pelosi is highly intelligent, very savvy, and she is very well adept at dealing with narcissists. She handled Trump quite well! She knows how to navigate stormy seas. If she makes a stop, it won't be an intimidating, publicly acknowledge stop I'm sure and flying over China airspace. Won't be a sloppy situation that puts Xi into a corner. And Xi is far more intelligent than both Trump and Putin combined! That's why he's the quieter of the two. They had a lot of discussion on TSMC (Ticker TSM), the "shield" of Taiwan. That may be a good investment at this time. Very intelligent discussions with teh Chairman of that company and others. And how basically China can't take the company by force because it's not an assembly line. It's too high tech, too many cross-borders/ international cooperation and communication. They would take over nothing by invading Taiwan. A lose/lose/lose situation for all. Which Ukraine demonstrates on many levels.
But we are just tiny YBCN. All these distractions should make passing this book cover easier ifyou ask me. Who wants to go in their and pry too much. Much bigger fish to fry around here! :) Although, perhaps YBCN may want to quit jacking around so much because you never know. The more they jack around, the more the political landscape could change to their detriment of an emergence. Maybe they should stop being so greedy and learn some proverbs. Or I have one they should heed: Pigs get fat; hogs get slaughtered. So, quit jacking around and waitiing for a hog day afternoon!
