Selling a house and renting now makes sense to me. Buying a biigger house now would be pure foolishness. Energy, taxes, insurance , etc will all affect the cost of owning a new house. The 2007 to 2013 50% drop in my area did not have rising energy, taxes and insurance like now to go with the speculation bubble bust.
