To be truly saved by grace invokes a radical change/shift in our desire to please God through obedience to Him. The Holy Spirit guides us into, and helps us through, this transformation. If we're not willing to change our lifestyle and mindset to become more Christlike, then I would have to question if one has truly been saved. I know that this ideology goes against some people's belief, but I am of the mindset that most of what is being taught from the pulpit has been watered-down to this statement: God is love, and He understands our weaknesses, and will be okay with us obeying just the parts of His Word that we agree with.

I say hogwash!

While it is true that God does love all of His creation – we must remember that God is a holy God, and being holy He cannot tolerate disobedient sinful natures – from anyone. Make no mistake about it – God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He hated and punished sin yesterday; hates and punishes it today, and will hate and punish it tomorrow.

We are either serving God, or, serving our sinful nature – it cannot be both.
