Boric_not waiting for_the Constitution_Rewrite collapse_on proposed Mining_Royalty.
Minister of Finance presented input to the royalty project in the Senate Mining Commission https://www-portalminero-com.translate.goog/wp/ministro-de-hacienda-presento-indicaciones-a-proyecto-de-royalty-en-la-comision-de-mineria-del-senado/?_x_tr_sl=es&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en-US&_x_tr_pto=wapp

Boric is slowly turning into a more-wiser more-inclusive statesman and trying to short-circuit the inevitable beaner clusterfock balls-smashing proposed eviscerating mining royalty scheme the commies in the Lower Chamber of Deputies started flogging a year ago.

It appears Boric wants the State to share more broadly (ie put more "skin" in the game) in the downside risks when the sale price of the taxable mineral in question goes down by proposing a more steeper sliding scale taxing rate... Dear Gabby Boric, well bravo this awfully white of you and very much appreciated by us miners.

Boric also wants to decentralize the collection point(s) of the royalty/tax away from all the corrupt money-grubbing scamming politicians in comfy Santiago and set up those collection points in the actual mining regions to apparently better distribute their 35% share more effectively and precisely which surely should cut out a dozen or so the "middlemen" grifters/scammers/thieves located on the road between Santiago and the real mining regions like Atacama. This sounds very JP Morgan-ish and could be an effective overall tool.

Let's hope Boric will keep the 50,000mtpa of LCE production mark as the royalty kick-in point. In any event it looks like mommy's boy Gabby Boric has given up on trying to get effective recommendations from that political stooge Marcela Hernando and is going to tackle this royalty upgrade more from an accounting/finance ministerial perspective through Minister of Finance Mario Marcel which is probably the best we can hope for at this stage.

And on top of this new "pain-in-the-ass" tax I also still wonder who Gabby Boric will get to write the proposed NLC (National Lithium Company) charter... because it sure won't be that knucklehead lazy never-get-her-surgeon-hands-dirty Minister of Anti-Mining Marcela Hernando.
