Drgdarf - Yes, gas separation does exist and as Banger says, it is expensive and imperfect.

The key drawback is that as much as 20% of the hydrogen is "lost" , and not recoverable, as it remains blended in the natural gas.

This loss makes separation uneconomic, which is why the pipeline tests to date don't include gas separation or segregation.

And my question remains, Who would blend expensive green hydrogen with natural gas, only to make expensive natural gas?
