noob question

if AERO sponsors one team wouldn't that stop other teams from using AERO mufflers. In my mind it would be more logical for AERO to be on more cars, no need for us to sponsor one team in particular.

I read about all the nascar stuff and people buying their favorite driver's products but if our mufflers are installed on more cars, the more chances we have of being on the winning cars therefore the better the odds of folks buying our products.

Is my reasonning right?
