YES, the check would've bounced.

I will say that Petey taught me (not personally) that CASHIER CHECKS can be fraudulent. Learned that factoid from others. I truly thought (LONG AGO) that Cashiers Checks were "solid"..

So, I should thank him. I got a cashiers check, I deposited it, made sure it was good, then I signed the paperwork.
