UPDATE ON Q FROM CHRIS FLYN
I just recieved this update from Chris,,THOMAS A. Gaughan
Filed this week in Los Angeles Superior Court. Two documents, the complaint
and a summons for Frank Olsen.
For some of you still owed money, you need to contact the lawyer
representing us, Anne Stevason AStevason@dir.ca.gov with your full contact
info and how much you are owed. Please do it ASAP.
For our media friends also note - I contacted Lloyd Fan the end of November
reminding him he was still legally obligated to provide W2s to the former
employees and that delaying the former employees, who had already been
stiffed for checks, from filing possible tax refunds would be disgusting.
Fan and his business partner repeatedly told me they were working on getting
us the forms, then ceased all communication in early January. Two weeks
ago, they relayed through Frank Hagan that they were still working on the
W2s. January 31st I asked them, again, what the status of the forms was,
but have yet to receive a response as of February 9th. After everything
these folks have been through and despite claiming his innocense and concern
for the employees, Fan screwed them again.
Luckily, I anticipated this and our attorney drafted a letter for the
employees to submit with their tax returns, explaining the situation and the
State of California's involvement on our behalf.
