To put it in perspective, say block 4 has 13 billion barrels at $109. Per barrel.
At 1.4 trillion, 2-5 billion to owners of block
Could be argued as a “ham sandwich “ or
Peanuts.
Memories of Kenya and that drill, CESPA
And ERHE had a 65/35 split. Did they know in advance that it was a dry hole? Did they think it might contain in excess of 650 million barrels? Could that hole have had
13 billion barrels? Who knows.
So 5 billion $ could be reasonable Maybe a nice dividend and take a percentage of what’s there?
At 5 billion $’s, we have maybe 1 “Billionaire “….. at 50 Billion $’s, we have many more Billionaires and Millionaires.
At 1.4 trillion $$$, maybe Total can be convinced to have a more equitable split?
Anyone agree????
