AMC shares are trading higher amid strength in 'Reddit stocks' for the session as well as retail investor mentions on social media. The recent popularity of 'Top Gun: Maverick' and 'Minions: The Rise of Gru' have also possibly helped the theater space.

An earlier tweet from CEO Adam Aron also alluded to a 'pounce' on short sellers.
