granted that they invest in private placements, toxic or not. I should imagine that they don't make any kind of investment without doing due diligence to have some assurance that the reward is aligned with the risk. Just unlike most private investors, they may have the research resources available to them to make reasonable risk - reward decisions that I and most of the rest here don't have available.
