Geron extends wining streak to reach 52-week high
Geron Corporation (NASDAQ:GERN), a clinical-stage biotech focused on blood cancer, hit a new 52-week high in the morning hours Tuesday after extending its recent gains to the 11th consecutive session. More than 1.8M shares have changed hands so far, compared to the 65-day average of ~2.9M.
Geron (GERN) recently announced the appointment of Faye Feller as its new executive vice president and chief medical officer, effective July 9, 2022.
Formerly an attending physician in the leukemia department of New York’s Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Feller served Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) as a senior director of its Janssen unit before joining Geron (GERN).
With current medical chief, Dr. Aleksandra Rizo leaving the position to become a consultant to the company, Geron (GERN) shares lost more than 8% following the announcement.
