The reason you had a booming final hour is because some jackass posted that the CEO had promised a major PR at close. He used a fake tweet to impart this information. Companies generally never put out good PRs on a Friday afternoon, before a 3 day weekend. Generally those afternoons are used for the breaking of bad news.
