I queried ETrade about the split shares today. Here is their response:
Many firms will front the shares before they receive the actual delivery of the shares which is why other firms may show the shares. Unfortunately we do not front the shares and wait for the actual delivery to avoid and problems or issues. In checking with our Corporate Actions department the payment of the split shares is expected today and should hopefully be updated overnight.
