Today, on the 6th anniversary of our founding, Curtiss releases “The Opposite of Death”, a short film about the creation of an enterprise built to last forever, making forever motoring for all humanity in a better way.

This fierce opposition to death begins like life itself, growing organically from the inside-out.

For 137 years, all motorcycles have begun life as some form of bicycle chassis packaged with a powertrain. The Curtiss team understands this very well, having created five distinctly packaged, low volume exotic American v-twin architectures over our first 25 years in the business. The film illuminates how Curtiss formed to reimagine what could be.

The story begins like America herself, from first principle. Inspired by the greatest American motorcycle brand in history, Curtiss, our leading man and modern day Glenn Hammond Curtiss, the designer and innovator JT Nesbitt, initiates this dream odyssey with his design of a perfectly centered drive shaft. Thus begins our story, whereby for the first time in history, it is possible for you to glide in perfect balance over the tarmac with ease and confidence in harmony with Mother Nature and your own.

“The Opposite of Death” is a story about off-the-grid true believers working their magic for those who yearn to be.

In the end, the greatest of all American dreams, “every man a king”, comes true when we simply do the things we want to.
