Illegal activity revealed in impossible math?

The shares just don't add up no matter how you slice them. I wonder how many shares are illegal "phantom shares" in the hands of shorts?

Not one for conspiracies, but it seems by default that's how the math works out here. Tiny float, more shorts than you'd think. They wanted to supply where non existed, so how does that get covered? That's my theory backed by credible sources.

Who eats the cost of the phantom shares here? That part never quite gets explained. Another reason why we are not regulated enough, despite our sleazy captor's idiot libertarian friend.
