I would be highly disappointed if KBLB announces they are producing metric tons of spidersilk at the Prodigy facility. The only thing they should be producing there are eggs to send to their subcontractors. They will then buy back metric tons of cocoons from the subcontractors to turn into raw spidersilk yarn which will then be sent to textile manufacturers for further processing and then be sent to SpydaSilk Enterprises and/or other customers. When KBLB will get paid in this process is yet to be seen. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

The subcontractors will probably be guaranteed a price for the cocoons they produce which is higher than for producing mundane silk cocoons making it a good deal for them.
