Sheeeesh! Every service lists "heavy" or higher than normal volume today, with TD Ameritrade listing nearly 29.4 Million shares traded with nearly 2 hours to go in the trading day. Your stated avg. volume is for the entire trading days. Whether it is retail or institutions there is clearly heavy selling of AMC shares today, as further evidenced by AMC being -1.14 (-9%) today. You don't see that without some serious selling.
