New car factories in Texas and Berlin are "losing billions of dollars" as they struggle to increase production because of a shortage of batteries and China port issues, Chief Executive Elon Musk said in an interview published on Wednesday. "Both Berlin and Austin factories are gigantic money furnaces right now. Okay? It's really like a giant roaring sound, which is the sound of money on fire," Musk said in an interview with Tesla Owners of Silicon Valley.

In hindsight you shoulda' bought a lithium mine in South America years ago (eg January 2018) specifically to keep your USA and German operations sufficiently supplied with lithium so you could have avoided all this standard Chinese clusterfocking horseshit you're suffering now by simply running super high-quality South American lithium through your new Texas refinery for proper "tweaking" near Brownsville and then on straight to your new Tesla battery making plants. Maybe you can consciously begin to correct this problem now.
