I am not suggesting that AA not do his duty in making AMC debt free. There are many ways to do it. One way, the way GME did it is to allow the AMC stock to run to over $100 pps and then sell shares and pay off the $5B in debt immediately. Then he can issue things like dividends to the shareholders and other investments he can't do with the AMC shares now.
Another much harder way to do it is to grow the fundamentals with more movie successes and expanding the business to buying more movie theaters and investing in other companies that are successful. Which AA has done and is working on. In my mind, doing everything he can to run the stock price over $100 will get the debt paid off much, much sooner then the old fashioned organic growth way. Plus it would make ALL shareholders very happy. Plus it will force the shorts to cover launching the MOSS making ALL AMC shareholder ecstatic with joy and happiness. Why put all your energy on something that will generate 5% to 10% results when you can do it with something that will generate100% to 10000% results focusing on getting the stock to GME levels. AA is just being stupid about ignoring the most important aspect of the AMC business that is the lifeline of the AMC company. If it turns out that AA is in cahoots with the HF shorts he is digging his own grave in the AMC business success taking us down with him in this failure. I hope he is not working with the enemy to fuck up the AMC share price.
