Minutes of proceedings [non-document] before Judge Solomon Oliver, Jr.A Telephonic Pretrial Conference as to Charles Vaccaro (1), Dror Svorai (2), Dennis Ruggeri (3), Kevin Hagen (4), Gary Berlly (5), Yosef Biton (6) was held on 6/1/2022 with counsel for the parties. AUSAs Brad Beeson and James Morford appeared on behalf of the government Attorneys Randy Zelin, Robert Amsel, Edward Mullin, Justin Roberts and Mark Hunter appeared for their respective clients. Mr. Zelin also appeared on behalf of Michael Orenstein for Mr. Hagen. Defendant Vaccaro was also present on the call. The government advised that reverse proffers have been held with counsel for most of the defendants and that the inspection of Mr. Vaccaro's boat has taken place. Defense counsel for Mr. Vaccaro shall advise the court within 14 days whether the Motion for Hearing on Physical Damages (ECF 133) will be withdrawn, otherwise the court will rule upon the motion. Counsel present made a joint motion to continue for approximately 45 days in order to continue discussions toward resolution of this matter, and to complete the remaining reverse proffers, which the court grants and finds, under 18 U.S.C. § 3161(h)(7)(A) and (B), the ends of justice served by continuance of trial outweigh the best interests of the public and the Defendants in a speedy trial.
