That makes no sense, really. The supposed point of arming teachers is to protect kids in the classroom. But if not all teachers are willing to participate, there some children will not be protected, at least theoretically.
I can imagine the complaining parents. The teachers' lives would become a living hell. And so probably most of them would quit, which would just add to the problems.
I'll point out once again that there's been NO school shooting that was stopped by a "good guy with a gun". In Uvalde, the cops hung out in the hallway for an hour while kids were being shot. They were waiting for equipment, because they were afraid of getting shot themselves.
And we should expect teachers to do what the cops--the PROFESSIONALS--couldn't bring themselves to do? And we should expect them to do it ALONE, without body armor or adequate training? On the miserable salaries they're paid in states like Texas and Oklahoma?
