Anyone considered what electric bills may do to consumer psychology?

There are some suggestions that we may see electricity rates double or triple this summer. I don't think anyone has seen those bills yet, but I had one last summer that was already $300. I'm pretty aware I'm in for some whopper bills this year but I bet a $900 electric bill isn't on a lot of people's radar. Those mega bills should start showing up in July, and I'm guessing they will be bad for consumer spending not to mention sentiment which hit an all time low recently even worse than during the financial crisis.

And of course there are the potential brownouts which should work wonders for supply chains. It's easy to be pessimistic with the market tanking and inflation running close to 10%, but there really aren't even slivers of light right now.

Since there isn't enough sunshine around here so thought I would provide some.
