FAITH is something totally different, no hope is involved in true faith. Faith is the want or need for a thing with unbending intent without doubt. The lack of doubt through unbending intent causes the "thing" to become reality regardless of what it is including moving a mountain (remember the grain of a mustard seed ?) Indeed peter had an unbending intent without doubt which manifested that power in him. It was not given unto him but rather was already available to him provided his intent had no doubt. That is why there are no more miracles for most as faith has been diluted to a structural belief of deity or doctrine.

FAITH= believing Jesus (the author and finisher of our faith)
Peter was bold, and not stupid. But fearful, but with love for Jesus.

You see. Faith BIBLICALY SPEAKING is *NEEDING/HOPING for something OUTSIDE of ones self. ADMITING WE ARE NOT OUR OWN SELF REALIZED gOD, and we are in need of a 4giving saviour.
What you said is not found in the scriptures. Non jews/chistians believed such things from old to new testament.
THE BIBLE SPOKE AGAINST THOSE, you are saying the bible believers operate that way. IT IS THE OPPOSITE.

So.....FAITH/HOPE >IS< "the substance" aka FRUIT/result. Actual manifestation of a SPIRITUAL(ones thought, NON physical) force. WHICH IS SUBSTANCE/PROOF- that it exists.
