Can you please explain in layman's language what a positive result in September would mean for Elite's Isradapine drug.

If there is a positive result, then you may start to see isradipine prescribed for people who try to quit smoking by using virtual reality goggles. In my professional opinion, this could increase Elite's isradipine revenue by tens of dollars every year.

The proposed study represents a crucial and important stage in translating basic research to strategies for treating nicotine dependence. The investigation addresses an important public health issue by testing an intervention - informed by basic research - that may lead to a more effective and efficient treatment for smokers. The expected findings should provide initial effect size data for the addition of isradipine to an integrated psychosocial/behavioral and pharmacological smoking cessation intervention for smokers, and thus provide the necessary data for a large-scale follow-up trial.

Of course, the two 800# gorillas here are Meta and Apple. Meta already has fairly refined Oculus series VR headsets, and Apple just announced theirs are on the near horizon and will be Apple Awesome. So who knows, maybe just a few years down the road and our beneficent robot overlords will provide us with Elite-brand isradipine tablets before each of our Mandatory Corrective Programming VR Therapy Sessions.
