the Marines I knew from years past were like that a brotherhood that never stopped being........ even after they left the service
always admired that about them..... doubt it's that way now but a friend in need is a friend indeed...
was not about the right or wrong of a thing so much as having someone's back.....the ties that bind.
interesting thing is, just this a.m. , a complaint about a friend that passed came up.... with a new friend...
said he was still respected and was a good friend.... don't care if what he did was right or wrong or politically correct or if he made a mistake and wouldn't back down from it he had my back and I had his......... that's how it supposed to be, imo.
if it costs me the new friend....so be it...... there's something to be said for loyalty....that should be kept. it's something lost today among most.... this society has children and family and friends turning on each other trying to replace it with trust in gov't
like I said before, never trust the gov't founding fathers didn't either
