Maybe you were not around back in the 80s when meteorologists were not 100% accurate with their forecasts as their equipment was not as sophisticated as today. I made a prediction this morning before the bell based on trading penny stocks for 18 years and I got into Technical Analysis of Stock Trends (the book covering Charles Dow's work) before I ever got into trading stocks.

The chart formations that Charles Dow created NEVER claimed 100% accuracy and were assigned a % of success and failure! Variables can come into play just like weather!
If you do remember how weather forecasts were back in the 80s, I hope you were never tempted to sue the local news station because of frustration

Some people who have never taken the time to learn charts think they do not work but I'll let you know when I sell and I think I will have a pretty good idea on where to sell based on experience and charts
