sponge ...From a strictly business perspective ...Vascepa is only really cost effective to the health providers / insurers for secondary prevention CAD

Canada will only reimburse for secondary prevention and the UK and EU will probably do likewise with around a 10 Euro copay .

There are several ways to lower Triglycerides . However Vascepa so far seems unique among the Omega 3's in its ability to strengthen the fibrous caps of existing coronary plaques making them less likely to rupture .

I have an inherited cholesterol disorder . After my trip thru the Cath lab ( angio gram ) it was decided my coronary plaques are not bad enough to require stenting ....but definitely needed max medical therapy .
So now I'm on max dose Statins , Vascepa , Zetia and Repatha ...oh what fun .

I used to take Omega Via EPA 500 before Kaiser agreed to cover Vascepa for me .Your wife might chk that out

Suggest you watch the AMRN space next week to see if Sarissa Capital makes a move for board seats ...something I expect them to do
