Diversity of opinions is what makes a market. Message boards should never be used to make investment decisions regardless. I prefer to use filings and official corporate statements. Even then their are safe harbor clauses to bear in mind. The best retailers can do is hopefully connect enough dots and sift through the intrinsic details to formulate your own opinion. Top criteria for me is financials, share structures and market cap, relevant business sector, ownership holdings percentages, and corporate vision and execution.
