I'm sorry but you are wrong. Let's say you are into the stock for 20 cents a share. the stock ends up going to 40 cents a share. That's a 100% profit.
Let say that you are into the stock at 40 cents a share, and the stock goes to 40 cents a share same as above.
The stock is the same price, but you are breaking even. 0% profit.
Do you understand what i am saying?
New investors or not it is based on what you paid for the stock.
