He may not be a scientist but he collaborated with research and science labs to help develop the company products. Does not make him unqualified to run a company. Believe he did a good job getting the products into the pilot/trial stage with various companies, getting them validated for various applications and now generating revenue. It took awhile but so does most disruptive technologies.
