You’re neglecting the other issue that may be holding up RDGL raising cash: concerns about competitive entry. Anyway, yes worse case (which I sure hope doesn’t happen) for common shareholders is bankruptcy. Even if RDGL survives via chapter 11 with new investors, existing common shareholders get nothing. Next best worst case is the toxic financing you mention, which I’m guessing means RDGL goes sub penny? Sure hoping it doesn't come to that.
