Iraq has the 5th Largest Oil reserves in the world that Russia now controls mostly as a consequence of 911 and our own Gov't action - war there.

During this same time, Russia has become one of the top 5 Leaders of Oil production. Meaning it's not coincidental what's happening now. Only AFTER Putin seized near full control of Iraqi's oil production , did grow a pair big enough to attack Ukraine.
