Is it my imagination? Has anyone seen this happen on L2? I swear I have placed a bid equal to the ask price, say for 100k shares when there is only 40K showing on the ask. I receive the 40K but all of a sudden, a figure of 60K shows up on the ask at 24 while my remaining BID of 60K at 24 does not show up on the bid side.

The reverse has happened many times. Where I buy out the ask at 24 for example with my remaining bid showing up now as the current bid at 24 and the ask jumping up to a higher ask price.

What I am saying, in the example I described, is that now an ask exists which does NOT show that these shares are actually available but would be sold immediately if someone does show up willing to sell those 60K shares at the current "ASK". What the heh!!!
