A gallon of gas was under $1.90 two yrs ago...what is it today? A roll of lead free solder wire was around $7.00 now it's $55.00...labor to install a 50 gal electric water heater was $285 now around $800....much of the copper electrical wire has to be under steel cable alarms today...man, I worked retail for 17 yrs in under my current company and watched a 2:x4' stud go from $1.97 to $9.00...a 4' X 8'
sheet of 5/4 of ply rise from $39 to $90.00...people are spending $3,000 -- + $4,000 on refrigerators...and it's just starting...you think for the average blue collar worker family of 4 to spend +$300 biweekly for groceries is high now - you wait till next yr when this recession is in full swing...this country needs to get a grip....NO one's going to be laughing
