Silvr, obviously something is up. But it appears that Covington and Burlington LLP has represented Merck in most of their acquisitions since 2018. Looks like the last deal Hughes Hubbard and Reed LLP represented Merck in was the $3.5 billion Indenix deal in 2015 . The same year the deal was made for Corti. They still were in involved in more recent litigation on behalf of Merck, but these cases started long ago.

Covington & Burlington LLP + Merck

Ironically Covington represented Abbott Labs in the spin off of AbbVie.

Who is Patrice Jean representing with respect to the Libigel IP? Could be Merck, if the deal was structured earlier. It is unlikely to be ANIP, unless ANIP forms part of a new joint venture.
