If you look at what Exxon is doing in Guyana with the Stroebek Block it will be close to ten years between exploration wells appraisal wells and proving up their 10 billion barrel or more fields " the golden lane". It all comes down to who will operate and how much patience they have to develop. Exxon has the time,but othe companies IE: Shell who sold off a lot of their properties to go at fewer prospects mostly now Deep Water, and seem to be a little more behind the curve and maybe more desperate to get big fields producing.
Saturn Complex looks exciting. Compared to the big Majors deep water China is not as competent ...so I would hope they are not in the mix as they have proven before.
