I think I see a pattern in the POG:
When stocks go down, gold goes down
When stocks go up, gold goes down
When inflation goes up, gold goes down
When inflation goes down, gold goes down
When interest rates go up, gold goes down
When interest rates go down, gold goes down
When risk-off, gold goes down
When risk-on, gold goes down
