Declan Burke is a non-executive director of LCCC and ESC. He is also Director, Nuclear Projects & Development at BEIS, where he has held senior positions for a number of years. Declan has considerable experience in the electricity industry, with his work including energy strategy and clean electricity deployment (e.g. renewables and Carbon Capture Usage and Storage (CCUS)), Electricity Market Reform and civil nuclear projects. Declan has also worked for UK Government Investments, who are responsible for managing HMG’s interest in publicly owned companies. Prior to joining the civil service, Declan was a Vice President in the Mergers & Acquisitions team at Deutsche Bank

He has an MEng in Avionic Systems Engineering from the University of Bristol.
