If someone is shilling for short sellers it is for the MM's . Retail cannot short OTC pink stocks under a certain dollar amount or possibly not at all. As I understand it, MM's are allowed to short to balance their accounts by providing a stable and liquid market for retail and make a regulated profit that does not exceed a certain amount or percentage. As a result, MM's control the market to a certain extent. Anyone please expand on this and any misconceptions I may have.
