Very interesting article. A few weeks ago we went back and forth a wee bit discussing this in relation to Tether. If someone has the control and they are a scammer, they can just generate as much stablecoin as they want, exchange it for bitcoin and then trade out of bitcoin into hard assets or USD. This is particularly true for people located outside of North America.
