Yes, you could. Would not be the first time. Volcano scam was saved by Divvy team like that. But in the end they migrated to Volcano which was a lot of dev work.

I could also create a token for you in like 5 minutes and you would really own it.

Just be patience and sit them out... at some point they will get restless and dump it all to get that remaining liquidity. Then you buy indeed and make it your project. Let us know when you need our support on that!
