He eventually produced a car and raised another $60,000 in share capital, but his Detroit Auto Company went bankrupt. In the 1920s, Henry Ford refused to update the Model T car, leading sales to fall dramatically.

Why did Henry Ford's first two companies fail?
His investors got cold feet over Ford's meticulousness, and he was unable to find solid financial backing for the automobile in his first two ventures. Nonetheless, Ford used the lessons from these failures to instruct his future success as an inventor and a businessman.
