A reverse split doesn't wipe out investors. LOL. The market cap stays the same and you own the same amount of the company. If they did a 1 for 5 reverse split, there would then be only 20-30 Million shares outstanding.

The only thing that can wipe out shareholders is the stock going down. That can happen whether there is a reverse split or not.
