I owe you an apology. The quote from the IPIX(CTIX) PR was quoted verbatim from a now deleted CTIX link (which was working as recently as a couple of years ago) which used to be found here:

So I'm sorry for disputing what you said. I was wrong.


But to be clear, this link is to an open access non-peer reviewed paper that happens to be published on an NIH site. It's authored by a consultant to the pharmaceutical industry who is paid to write such papers. It doesn't imply NIH or any other official body endorsement of brilacidin or the results IPIX claim it has obtained.
