I received this email from Crawford Ventures talking about how Evan Katz was asked by Columbia University to be a guest speaker. I like how it says he will be speaking on “alternative” investments. See the text below. Might not mean anything but he seems to be out there talking up alternative investments such as SPOOZE??? Maybe….

“I have been asked by the Columbia University Business School Alumni Club of New York to be an expert guest speaker and panelist on its upcoming May 11 webinar regarding private funds (e.g., hedge, private equity, venture capital and real estate funds). I am going to be speaking as an expert regarding private funds, alternative investments, the state of the industry, hedge fund best practices, institutional and family office investors, and how established and emerging alternative investment managers can best do successful large-scale fundraising and substantially increase their fund’s AUM.”
