A number of members of the UAE Federal National Council confirmed that the announcement of the operation of the second nuclear power plant "Barakah" is a new qualitative achievement to be added to the series of UAE achievements, a guarantee for the future of future generations, and excellence in the field of clean and renewable energy.
Member of the Federal National Council, Sarah Falaknaz, said in a special statement to 24:We congratulate the United Arab Emirates for its great success in operating the second nuclear power plant in the Barakah area in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Several strategies aim to produce electrical energy from the four plants safely, efficiently and within the specified time schedule, as well as secure a valuable and effective supply chain for the UAE nuclear sector to ensure the provision of high quality products and services in a timely manner, develop competencies in the nuclear energy field and support the Emiratisation program 1800 engineers, operators and specialists work in this peaceful nuclear program, as well as establishing a unique nuclear operating culture, which enables a high-performance multicultural team to coexist together in a state of tolerance, coexistence, security and safety.and stability.”

Falaknaz explained that the importance of the four advanced power reactors at the Barakah plant stems from providing about a quarter of the country’s electricity needs when the plants are fully operational, and this project will contribute significantly to diversifying The energy sources in the country and the provision of large amounts of energy to homes, companies and government facilities, while at the same time preserving the environment and reducing the carbon footprint in the country.
