Back when YouTube was getting started, my friend Mike started a channel. He spent a lot of time on it and slowly it grew and grew. Pretty soon he had a ton of followers...and was making good money off of the ad revenue that YouTube paid him.

He was making such good money that he quit his job so he could devote all his time to the channel.

Then he met Sarah, got married and started raising a couple of kids: Sally and John.

When Covid hit, Sally got it......and died.

Mike did a lot of searching and research, and found out that Ivermectin was a promising drug that had saved a lot of people...but by that time it was too late.

So he started talking about Ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, and other treatments that would help with Covid.

And then YouTube shut him down......said he was spreading 'mis information', etc.

So Mike went to a lawyer to see if he could sue YouTube for destroying his income........and the Lawyer said that YouTube was immune to being sued.....there was a law against it.

You see, according to that law, YouTube said they were just a 'channel' for information. And by just being a 'channel'.....like the phone company, or the electric company.....they couldn't be sued.

Problem is.....YouTube is not just a channel anymore.......they're making decisions as to what content is allowed now. And those decisions are arbitrary a lot of the time.

Bottom Line: Free Speech is not allowed on YouTube.....And the solution is to make it so that people can sue the living beejeezus out of them when they screw up people's lives. Just like any other 'Private Company' out there.
