Commander Luhmann –

Thanks for your email. The answers to your questions are:

1. No, the government has not shown any interest in negotiating a settlement.

2. It’s difficult to predict how much longer the case will go on. It’s already taken longer than it should have. But we are certainly hoping to have a trial this year. After that trial, regardless of outcomes, there may be one or more appeals, which could take another year or so. There are also are appeals in the other cases that are ongoing.

3. The trial scheduled for July 11 this year (or “at the Court’s earliest convenience thereafter…”) is the only trial date in one of these cases, and in that sense likely represents the most direct avenue to a successful outcome through a legal action. But I cannot offer a prediction on the outcome at this time.

Please let us know if you would like to know more. We are working hard to prepare for trial.

Thank you,
Hamish

Subject: Fannie/Freddie Class Action Notice

Good Afternoon Mr. Hume Esq. ... smile

I received my Class Action Notice yesterday in the mail ...
I have a couple questions - I'm not looking for preferential info just info

1. Has the arrogant Govt jerk lawyers replied or negotiated
in any way so far ?

2. How long do you see this Class Action taking ?

Finally ... Do you think our best chance for recovery is the July - Judge Lamberth Jury Trial ?

Thank you Hamish for all you've done and are doing on our behalf ...

Sincerely ,

Commander Ron Luhmann U.S. Navy (retired)
