I agree. I think it's just greed? Not even wanting to dip your toes in at all, then average down. People want to just buy a ton at the absolute bottom and then say "I told you so." If it takes off, they probably just go to the next message board and try the same thing all over, never to return to the other board of the stock that took off.

I'm a proponent, like you, of dip your toes in, because we can't see the future.
